Most, well a lot, of eastern society is based on shariah law that regulates every aspect of daily life for all those sad people who happen to fall under it's curse. It allows for no innate moral sense nor reason . There is never any hope of anything else. It is the most suppressing, smothering and depressing form of existence known to humans, especially women.
